Asthma is a chronic lung disease in which the airways in the lungs become narrow due to inflammation and contraction of the muscles surrounding the small airways.

-Asthma can start at any age, but most commonly occurs in childhood before the age of 5 years.

Asthma is a disorder of the lungs. It can be caused by many factors. Such as,

-Allergens: Factors like dust, animal hair, perfumes, etc.
-Air pollution: Smoke or chemicals emitted from nearby factories.
-Infections: Viral or bacterial infections like cold, flu or pneumonia.
-Weather: Cold air, humidity and strong odors.
-Genetic history: If one of the parents has asthma, the child may also have asthma.

To test asthma, doctors use some tests, such as
